I Don't Get It

Comedy Central will allow South Park to show God like this:

But shows the Prophet Muhammad like this:

As such I felt compelled to send them a letter pointing out their double standard.

On the episode of South Park titled 'Cartoon Wars part II', Comedy Central refused to show a picture of the Prophet Muhammad. I'm curious as to why your network decided to censor a picture of Muhammad but will allow the South Park creators to show a picture of "God" in which he looks like a type of rat creature and uses profanity or show Moses as a flashing disembodied head. Why the double standard? Is it okay simply to make fun of any other religion than Islam? You network is a joke in and of itself. I find your actions to be intolerable and I hope your viewership drops as a result.

I never cared much for your station to begin with.

Using my powers of foresight, I believe I will get either no response or a form letter explaining how 'each culture' has certain beliefs and we respect them all... blah, blah.

I never was much of a Comedy Central fan but now it's on my 'do not watch' list. Why are they protecting Islam? I know it's a private company and thus can censor at will, but this is blatantly anti-Christian, Jew, Catholic, etc. Anyone but Muslims. Are they afraid of a Fatwa? Well I hope they are afraid of a boycott too.

Thank you for your correspondence regarding the "South Park" episodes entitled "Cartoon Wars." We appreciate your concerns (don't give a s***) about censorship and the destructive influence of outside groups on the media, entertainment industry and particularly Comedy Central.

To reiterate, as satirists, we believe that it is our First Amendment right to poke fun at any and all people, groups, organizations and religions (except Islam) and we will continue to defend that right. Our goal is to make people laugh and perhaps, if we're lucky, even make them think (I think you are idiots. Oooo, you made me think!) in the process.

Comedy Central's belief in the First Amendment has not wavered, despite our decision not to air an image of Muhammad. Our decision was made not to mute the voices of Trey and Matt or because we value one religion over any other (B.S.). This decision was based solely on concern for public safety in light of recent world events (cowering to terrorists).

With the power of freedom of speech and expression also comes the obligation to use that power in a responsible way. Much as we wish it weren't the case, times have changed and, as witnessed by the intense and deadly reaction to the publication of the Danish cartoons, decisions cannot be made in a vacuum (like your heads) without considering what impact they may have on innocent individuals around the globe.

It was with this in mind we decided not to air the image of Muhammad, a decision similar to that made by virtually every single media outlet across the country earlier this year when they each determined that it was not prudent or in the interest of safety to reproduce the controversial Danish cartoons. Injuries occurred and lives were lost in the riots set off by the original publication of these cartoons. The American media made a decision then, as we did now, not to put the safety and well being of the public at risk, here or abroad (Quick! Hide under the table or the bad men will get you!).

As a viewer of "South Park," you know that over the course of ten seasons and almost 150 episodes the series has addressed all types of sensitive, hot-button issues, religious and political, and has done so with Comedy Central's full support in every instance, including this one. "Cartoon Wars" contained a very important message (Family Guy sucks?), one that Trey and Matt felt strongly about, as did we at the network, which is why we gave them carte blanche in every facet but one: we would not broadcast a portrayal of Muhammad (Your God is better than ours).

In that regard, did we censor the show? Yes, we did. But if you hold Comedy Central's 15-year track record up against any other network out there, you'll find that we afford our talent the most creative freedom and provide a nurturing atmosphere that challenges them to be bold and daring and places them in a position to constantly break barriers and push the envelope. The result has been some of the most provocative television ever produced (Lousy comedians and dull shows).

We would like nothing more than to be able to look back at this in a few years and think that perhaps we overreacted. Unfortunately, to have made a different decision and to look back and see that we completely underestimated the damage that resulted was a risk we were not willing to take (And the terrorists rejoice at their victory).

Our pledge to you, our loyal viewers, is that Comedy Central will continue to produce and provide the best comedy available and we will continue to push it right to the edge, using and defending the First Amendment in the most responsible way we know how (NOW you use the 1st amendment responsibly?).

Even though they seem to have gotten their act straight with the child molesters, I think it will be good for me to get a site that is away from the garbage that Blogger allows.

I guess the time has come to find a new home. Co-blogger and good friend Fmragtops has found out that Blogger is hosting a site dedicated to pedophilia.

The response he received from Blogger is pretty much the same "we only host it" crap that most of these big corporations tend to spew. Turn a blind eye just to make a lousy buck. (Except that hosting here is free... so I don't really get it.)

I'm joining the many others who are moving elsewhere. If you have a Blogger blog and care about the well-being of children, I recommend you to do the same.

My Thoughts on the Fairness Doctrine

Over the past few days, I've been hearing Sean Hannity mention the Fairness Doctrine.

As I work in broadcasting, you'd think I'd know what that is. Too bad that I didn't.

Anyway, I became a little curious and Wikipedia-ed "fairness doctrine" and to be quite honest, I was disgusted with what I read.

Now keep in mind that the Fairness Doctrine was implemented by a Republican. Or, as I like to refer to Nixon and others in his mold, a RINO (Republican In Name Only).

The Fairness Doctrine, according to Wiki, was designed to "balance" political opinion over public airwaves. In other words, it was a state-sponsored effort to chip away at the First Amendment.

The Doctrine was made up of two corollaries:

The personal attack rule is pertinent whenever a person or small group is subject to a character attack during a broadcast. Stations must notify such persons or groups within a week of the attack, send them transcripts of what was said, and offer the opportunity to respond on the air.

The political editorial rule applies when a station broadcasts editorials endorsing or opposing candidates for public office, and stipulates that the candidates not endorsed be notified and allowed a reasonable opportunity to respond.

Fortunately the Fairness Doctrine was done away with completely in 2000.

However, there have been-according to Hannity-many Democrats calling for the return of the Fairness Doctrine.

Why? I believe it would be a way to silence the talk radio righties, who are quickly becoming the most trusted source of news and political commentary for many Americans.

This would benefit the Democrats due to the key role talk radio and the "alternative media" played in the Election of 2004, which even those of you on the left cannot doubt.

Let's put it into perspective. Sean Hannity is syndicated on over five hundred radio stations nationwide. Stations make the decision to pick him up, thus the station would be responsible for enforcing the Fairness Doctrine to FCC specifications. That would mean that each of these five hundred stations would have to offer air time to the political figures that Sean Hannity bashes on a daily basis. This frustrates local radio bigwigs, thus the programs are taken off the air one by one. Boom. No more Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Neal Boortz, etc. The stations wouldn't be able to keep up with the paperwork, thus keeping the programs on air would no longer be financially beneficial to the station.

I want you to know that I think Al Franken and Michael Moore are two of the biggest morons that have ever walked the face of this earth. They're stupid, uneducated, and they're not as funny as they would think that they are. However, they have a God-given (that's right, I said the G-word) right to say what they think. Too many men and women have spilled their blood to allow them to spread their diatribe without interference from the Federal Government.

A Musing on Counter-Protests

This little blurb came to mind while surfing around the Zombietime site.

I read a little bit this morning about a prolife Walk for Life organized in San Fransisco about a month ago. As you can read here, left-wingers organized and begged the “people and workers of San Fransisco and the Bay Area to rise up and completely stop them in their tracks and completely stop their march.”

I know a thing or two about counterprotesting as I’m an active member of the right-wing counterprotest group Protest Warrior. However, there are some stark differences in the tactics the right use in comparison to the left.

As you can see, the leftists-at least those depicted on Zombietime and in their own forum-don’t believe in free speech. Right-wingers and religious people don’t have the right to organize and peacefully march in support of their own causes. This, my friends, is fascism at the core. The leftists in this case are using the same tactics they accuse the president of doing: denying the rights of someone to speak their mind regardless of who agrees with it.

We’re told from the top-down in Protest Warrior that our job is to accompany the march to present a different point of view. We are not allowed to disrupt, stop, or try and derail any event. We are simply there to show the leftists that they are not the moral majority, and we take a little pride in watching the reactions of the protestors when their moral house of cards is totally blown away by truth.

Here we see yet another stark difference between right and left: we believe in free speech, they believe in free speech as long as you stay in lock-step with their beliefs.

Hey Sean, I'm sorry about your troll problem. I'm not going to fill up you comment box with a post but I can email you this in response to the wackos.

I'll try to go point by point AG. The Federal Government , just like most privately owned business, pay a portion of insurance cost for their employees (they are usually given a choice of plans from different insurance companies and the price for the employee varies for the plans depending on the coverage they want). They don't give out free health care. What's more is that they use private insurance companies to administrate it because it is more cost effective than creating a department to deal with insurance claims and administration. Active military only use military healthcare establishments (unless deployed where there are none) and their dependants (also retirees) are on what is called Tri-Care, where they have co-pays, premiums, and monthly bills just like most of us. Soldiers themselves have free healthcare; this is true. I think you should think about the soldier being the product and not an employee of the government though. If a soldier isn't taken care of, their cost compared to productivity goes up and paying a sick soldier to be sick isn't helping anyone (although Army doctors are about useless unless you've been shot, but that's a whole other rant). Being an employee to government does have benefits but free health care is not one of them. So let's subtract the amount of federal employees out of the %60, I have better healthcare than they do and pay less for it.

Medicare is for older people and people with permanent disabilities. Medicare is an indemnity program where the recipient has a %20 co-pay for most procedures while the government picks up the other %80. It sounds like a good deal but in actuality %20 is a lot to pay when an appendectomy runs about $16,000. Along with their co-pays they pay a fee every month out of their social security to pay for Medicare. Every pay check, you also pay for their Medicare. It's interesting thing when right now in a few places you can get additional insurance to supplement your Medicare for next to, if not, nothing. You see, most insurance companies can take the little amount of money allotted for each person and administrate it to offer better coverage for Medicare recipients than Medicare can themselves. True there are more rules when you sign up for these supplement plans, but they reduce the %20 co-pay for things like operations down to a flat $100 co-pay. One particular company also had enough left over to offer a prescription plan before Medicare had the Part D. So how can a privately owned business offer better benefits to recipients for less money than the Government offers? Privately owned business are about the bottom line. They have to keep their customers and their stock holders happy. The Government does not care one way or the other. Bureaucracies have a tendency to only grow larger while only offering less. I personally would not trust the government to control my finances. Why would I trust them to control my health care?

Socialized health care leaves a lot to be desired. You don't believe me? Then why are there private doctors and hospitals in countries with socialized medicine? Competition breeds quality. Ask anyone that lives in a country with socialized medicine if they would rather go to the state provided doctor or a private doctor and they will tell you the same thing. They will take the private practice over a public one any day. Just like the difference between private schools and public schools, given a choice (and having the ability) people will always choose the better one. The best way to give everyone better care is to release the money from government bureaucracies and provide people with a choice about who will give them the best product.

I figure you will ask for proof and cite documents that provide evidence. I have no time for that nonsense, I've wasted enough time with this, but most of it is from personal experience. I've been a soldier, lived in a post communist country (Poland), lived in a country that is social programs running amuck (Germany), and worked for an insurance company that handles Medicare benefits. The truth is America provides opportunity for an individual to become what they want than any other country. Work ethic and the will to succeed is all it takes to make it in America. Other countries that offer all these social programs only punish people for succeeding by taking their money and giving it to people that haven't the desire, the will, or the work ethic to make their own success. When I left the service I contemplated living in Germany a while longer. I had a job lined up that paid %40 less than I'm making now, but due to Germany's tax structure I would pay twice the percentage of my income to taxes than I do now.

As far as your tiffs on this website with the administrators and writers. These are opinions and humor pieces. You said it correctly; you harass them. I haven't seen any intelligent arguments on your side either. A lot of things said here are meant to be tongue in cheek. Get over it and/or stop visiting. I've seen way more senseless comments on this sight since you and your team have been visiting. It really does deter me from commenting because I just don't like your prepubescent antics.

Even They Know Why

Illegal immigration is not a new thing. Congress is debating whether or not to make it a felony to be in the U.S. without proper documentation. The R.J. has an article on the current deportation system. All of the deportees were brought over from local detention facilities. They say that illegals can stay in this country indefinately, under the current system, assuming that they can stay out of trouble with the law.

The problem comes in the form of higher rates at hospitals and the taxes that they don't pay. And they know it. Just ask Mexican national Gabriel Ruiz:

"A lot about it makes sense," he said. "The not paying taxes, the medical expenses. I understand why people wouldn't want us here, even though I was raised here."

They get it, so why don't those on the left? Would you want someone going into your house and stealing all of your valuables? Then why allow someone to steal from you in the form of misusing our public services?

I'd rather pay the salary of the guy who is there to send them home and enforce our nation's border. That's money well spent.

Some Random Thoughts

Just to break the monotony of the current tone of this blog I present a few random thoughts.

1) Lamar advertising recently put up a new billboard on the I-15 north just as you come into Vegas. It's essentially a big-screen television that they put ads on. Kinda cool idea. The only problem is for the people who live in the neighborhood that the sign faces. They get a bright light into the back yard of their homes now that wasn't there before. The funniest thing is, Lamar put up a billboard on the I-15 south advertising their new billboard. Just in case you miss that giant blinking thing that glares across the lanes of traffic.

2) I hate that community outreach radio that they put on Sunday mornings. I want to hear music, but on every channel it's either a medical program or some useless pseudo news program where someone drones on about a completely uninteresting subject over a bad phone connection. Wake me when it's over.

3) Bally's hotel has a new stage show called "Price is Right Live". No Bob Barker, but everyone is a contestant and prizes include trips and of course... "A New Car!". Sounds like a fun time and what other Vegas show gives you a chance to win prizes?

I've been looking for a reason to fit my description as a "copy and paste" blogger, so I'm going to do so now via an email I received from my dear mother (living proof that there is actually hope for ignorant liberals):

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! (lastly....) NOW..

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!!!!

A Rebuttal (Or a Total Pwnage, if You Will)

Oooh, looks like I hit a few buttons here, now doesn't it? I immediately attack socialism and dependence on the federal government and all of a sudden the liberals go crazy.
Since Adorable Girlfriend decided that she was going to write me a novel, I think it's only fair for me to respond.

I never asked you to pay for health care.

So you agree with me that Medicare, Medicaid, and such should be abolished?

Though according to the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, approximately 60 percent of it is paid for by the government between State and Federal employees, the VA, tax deductions, Medicare and Medicaid, to name a great majority of the costs.

Medicare/Medicaid is fully funded by taxpayers-including me-and thus is government-sponsored theft. I'll gladly pay my share when it comes to the VA and government employees, but cut the rest of it. It's a nice little mask for socialism and will eventually destroy this nation in more ways than your precious BusHitler could ever dream of doing.

Cutting Blue Cross and Blue Shield et al. out of the picture makes a great deal of sense. The remaining question then is, do you think when you join the military you shouldn't have Federal subsidized health care benefits?

With that statement right there, you prove yourself to be a socialist. Way to go. Cut private companies, make everyone rely on the federal government.

Guess what? My father relies on VA (government) healthcare. Do you want to know what it will be like when we depend on the government for our healthcare needs? Try waiting for over EIGHT hours to see a doctor for fifteen minutes. Believe it or not, that actually happened. To whom? Easy. To my father and me at the Pershing Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Imagine enduring pain so bad you want to kill yourself and having to wait for EIGHT HOURS while bureaucrats debate as to whether or not you're worth saving.

As for your line about military healthcare, you need to read my original post a little more clearly, since it's obvious you're more interested in attacking me rather than debating the issues at hand.

And for the record Steve, this is the first time I have personally said anything to you.

The facts are as stated: you support socialist healthcare, the abolition of the private medical industry, and complete socialism of the American economy. I don't have to lay out those facts, you've done so yourself.

As for your "assume" glib, don't you think you're equally guilty of such when you ASSUME that Saddam didn't have WMD and didn't plan to reinstate his WMD programs? Remember, we were massing troops in the Gulf for several months. Do you honestly think that Saddam had no idea as to what was coming? Remember the intel photos of the large trucks heading towards the Syrian border? What about the VX and mustard gas shells found? What about the missiles buried in the sands under Baghdad?

Actually, I was a history major until I had to drop out of college and take two jobs to aid my ailing father. =)

...maybe you should re-read the laws on education. In fact, minimum education it is granted to the people of the US. Children in most states are required to attend until around the age of 16. The public education system is a complete and total failure. Why is it that America constanstly underachieves when compared to other nations, such as Japan which utilizes a mostly-privatized school system? Why is it that privately-schooled children often score higher on tests than children forced to endure a public education?

The Liberals Just Don't Get It

I wrote about this in my other blog, but I found it fitting to post a little blurb about it here at Shoot a Liberal.

As those of you who read this know, we are currently fighting an infestation of liberal trolls who are devoid of any sense of intelligent debate whatsoever. Chuckles, c.w.b, Adorable Girlfriend, pinko punko: yeah, you know the bunch. They continue to make asses of themselves; frankly, I think it's funny.

However, if you ask them-like most liberals-they'll give you the line about how they have no civil rights with George W. Bush in office. They can't speak freely, they can't peacefully assemble, and the government is constantly spying and monitoring on them. Mainly, many are under the impression that they cannot speak out against the president.

Until someone tries, is booed by the public, and said public is rebuked by BusHitler and he allows the man to speak.

Liberals, you have more freedom in your pinky finger than many people will ever have or experience in their lifetimes. Yet, you're not willing to share this freedom with those that are oppressed. There is a little fact that you lefties don't get. After World War II, the United States made one thing clear: IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD ARE FREE TO CHOOSE THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT AND THEIR OWN DESTINY. It is our responsibility to ensure that one madman or a group of madmen don't take over a country or a region and enslave the people to do their own little puppet-dance. If you cannot understand that, then you just need help.

It is not our government's responsibility to pay for our healthcare, our education, or our paycheck (unless you are a government employee, and even then only if you're in a necessary position). It is the government's responsibility to defend freedom, both here and abroad.

So, I have a day off. I don't have to go into the radio station this morning, so I'm sitting at my cozy little computer desk in my cozy little apartment while my lovely wife (who also, luckily, has a day off) is dozing her sweet lil' head off in bed.

So what have I been doing this morning?

Pwning Chuckles. That's all.

I decided to read his blog and find the asanine quote of the day in here to share with you all when I found this comment to a post about Sean:

Adorable Girlfriend says: Smarty, Sean is this major, major cobag. His address: shootaliberal.blogspot.com. That pretty much says it all.

However, he likes to cut and paste others comments, doesn't reference, edits his posts or comments to correct what you rip on him for and generally a sad guy.

The sad part is you know he's working class like all the rest of us and hating on the good guys. Somehow having guns and killing people takes away the oppression for him. He could be a really good guy if he was more educated and hung about with better people then Tony from manlymen.org, Jermturd and Steve-the-ass-pirate.

Now, while the jury is out on just what exactly a "cobag" is, I can see that Adorable Girlfriend-like her buddy Chuckles-is nothing more than another run of the mill hate-filled lefty. Which explains her keeping the kind of company she keeps.

Now, let's look a little more deeply into her comment here.

She first calls Sean a cobag. A quick swing by urbandictionary.com says that a "cobag" is short for a colostomy bag. Or, if you're from the South like I'm originally from, a s*%tbag. Last time I checked, Sean is neither a colostomy nor a s*%tbag. Since I'm sure that colostomy/s*%tbags can neither walk, talk, nor vote (and if they did I'm pretty sure they'd vote Democrat), he can be neither of these things.

Next she parrots the same ol' Chuckles "cut-and-paste" line. Joy, oh joy! You see, we're seeing the typical Democratic technique of "the talking point" here. It's simply the old saying "if you say it enough then it must be true" being put to good (or in this case, evil) use. I think this is a case of Chuckles' jealousy of Sean and his blog. Not only does it look better, smell better (a lot less patchouli), but Sean has three top-notch writers while Chuckles can only write about how he hates blogging drunk and how it's Wal Mart's responsibility to ensure the whole world has healthcare coverage. A pity. She also calls him a "sad guy." I've known Sean for a while, and he doesn't seem sad. He seems rather content and happy with his life.

Moving on now, she then begins a little leftist class warfare. While Sean, FM, and I are all three hard-working, middle-class Americans, we apparently are traitors to the working class because we hate on "the good guys." I properly dissected and countered said message in Chuckles' comments section like so:

Steve the Pirate said: You see, the "good guys," as you label them, are for taking more money out of my pocket and giving it to people who are too lazy to get up and get a job. They're not disadvantaged, they're not downtrodden, they're lazy. Plain and simple. The real "good guys" are the ones who cut my taxes so I keep more of my hard-earned money in my wallet, work to eliminate welfare and the socialist society it inevitably creates, and keeps nutbags from blowing up my family (don't repeat the Michael Moore line that I'm not in any danger; I have a USAF base right in my backyard which any al Qaeda hoser would love to bomb).

Just in case you're curious, that AF base is Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio.

Moving on now.

Folks, it doesn't stop there! She then opens full ad hominem as she not only accuses Sean of being uneducated, but also accuses yours truly of being a homosexual. I can't speak for Sean's level of education, but I do know that Sean is one of the most intelligent men I have ever met. As for my sexual preference (it seems that Chuckles and his crew is obsessed with said sexual preference), you may want to ask my wife about that. Anyway.

As you can see, this is what we're dealing with. This is why men like Sean, FM, and myself are here, to keep you informed of not only what happens in the world, but to also show you the nature of the enemy-in all their hatred, moaning, crying, and foaming-at-the-mouth-in this ideological conflict. As long as they're out there, we'll be right behind them exposing them for what they truly are.

Yes, You HAVE a Choice!

Ever since Sean decided to make Shoot a Liberal a group blog, there has been a bunch of discussion and debate on just what is the best manner to dispose of dirty hippies: shooting, impaling, or walking them off the plank.

Then it occurs to me: just what do the dirty hippies want to do? After all, they're the ones being disposed of; shouldn't they have a choice of their manner of disposal?

In that spirit, I present to you the following proposal. A hippie would be taken out to sea on board a ship (preferably a US Navy ship, a pirate ship would suffice if needed) and would be stood on a plank. Underneath them would be three massive spikes. The spikes would be easy to jump over; however, swimming around and past the spikes would be angry, bloodthirsty sharks. If that's not dangerous enough for you, a helicopter with a mounted .50 caliber machine gun would be hovering overhead, taking aim at said dirty hippie (Trolls, Democrats, Commies, and RINOS are also subject to said choice, by the way) and forcing him to make a quick decision. Meanwhile, a group of sailors or pirates-whichever works better-would be pressing in from the ship (you can't see them in the diagram below, but they're there) with fully automatic weapons, further forcing the hippie to make the choice.

To further clarify my proposition, I present the following diagram:

So, you have a choice: be impaled, be devoured by angry sharks, or be shot by a helicopter and/or a bloodthirsty mob.

No More Holidays

Today's Liberal Nonsense: The Spring Bunny.

Yes, you heard me right. The Spring Bunny. You see, malls and shopping centers all across America that previously featured everyone's favorite furry Eastertime creature have shot, quartered, and fried up the Easter Bunny to serve him during Easter...er, "Spring" dinner alongside some mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. In his stead they have brought in the "Spring" Bunny. You see, these people believe that the "Spring" Bunny is much less offensive to non-Christians, allowing everyone to celebrate the glory that is East...er, "Spring." No longer will little tykes scamper through the meadow on an Easter Egg hunt; no, those children must now sniff out "Spring" Eggs, because we have to be politically correct.

Word has it that the Easter Bunny won't be the only one to go. More famous symbols of holidays derived from religious celebrations-and even the holidays themselves-will be taken out, too.

No longer will St. Valentine's Day be celebrated: rather, "Hallmark® Romantic Card Day."

St. Patrick's Day must go the wayside, as well. Now, St. Patty will be turned into the "Drink Like a Person of Irish Heritage" Day.

Two non-religious days, Mother's and Father's Days, will be turned into-respective-"Non-female parental-unit"and "Female parental-unit" days. Keep in mind, you also have to wish all females and non-females that have chosen NOT to be parental units a happy "Non-female/Female parental-unit" day, as well.

July 4th? Independance Day? No! No celebrations! Independence Day must now be declared as a day of national mourning, to mark the day that the Imperialist Americans came to power to conquer the world for the J00s.

April 22nd, on the other hand, will be a day of festivity and celebration! (Now, can you tell me why?)

Halloween must not be celebrated under ANY circumstances! You see, Halloween was invented by the Catholics, and we all know that the Catholics are really J00s in disguise trying to take over that world with that silly fool Emperor Benedict XVI.

Similar to July 4th, Thanksgiving will no longer be celebrated. Rather than give thanks to a made-up God for what we've been given, we must mourn and pray for forgiveness for what we've illegally taken from others less fortunate than ourselves.

And as for Christmas? Heck no! Christmas must be eliminated! Not only will all "baby Jesuses" (or is it Jesi) be burned or renamed into "baby fake idols representing an oppressive and overbearing false religion," but Santa Claus will be renamed to "Carlos, the dude down the street." Also, gifts will not be given on Christmas. Everyone will be encouraged-and hopefully required-to give everything they own to "Carlos, the dude down the street" so he can distribute it to whomever he sees fit.

Finally, the word "holiday" MUST be removed from the American jargon. It will be replaced by "Day of Non-Work." That way, a day holy to one religion can't offend another, and everybody wins!

Word has it that the only holidays allowed to be called holidays, and even allowed to be celebrated, will be Kwanzaa, Ramadan, and April 22nd.

Scary, isn't it? What's worse, this is exactly what we're heading to.

Well, chuckles, I have to admit it. Your great writing, and common sense posts have convinced me. I give up my aggressively conservative positions on issues. I think I may start sending in extra tax money to the IRS, because I do not pay enough taxes. I will turn over my private poperty to the government and moved into a subsidised housing project. And you know what else? I think the illegal aliens should be allowed to stay in this country free of penalty. Full amnesty for all undocumented workers. I'm going to change my voter registration from Republican to The Communist Party. Bush is equal to Hitler. He's an imperialist Nazi, and so is SeanS and Steve The Pirate.

Suspensions All Around

I ditched school once. It was my senior year and all the kids in my class took off from school on what we called 'senior ditch day'. I was reported as being sick.

I never walked out for a protest. Even when they told us that we could not pray in school, I didn't leave campus. I stayed at my desk and prayed that the school would change their policy. I met with other students before school to have an organized prayer at the flagpole. We broke it up when our 'freedom of speech' was taken away and the administration dispersed us.

Now apparently it is okay for kids to leave their classes to protest. The Clark County school district admonished the students for leaving and said that it would count as an unexcused absence. Whoop-de-doo. They have 9 more before losing credit for the class. Maybe a suspension would get the point across better.

How about organizing your protest on the weekend? I guess that wouldn't make the statement you want, huh? Don't let education get in the way of showing the government who's boss. Trust me, I could care less if you fail. Someone's gotta flip the patties. Lucky for you the U.S. Attorney General cares.

His message to the marchers was: "Get an education. Freedom in this country is only available to those who can speak English well, those who can write English well."

Hey folks, these are kids we are talking about! The little bastards don't even pay taxes yet. When you start paying outrageous fees at the emergency room and see your taxes going up to cover the cost of housing illegals, then come talk to me. How about when you see the lines at the unemployment office getting longer because Farmer Joe can get his labor at half the cost down at the Home Depot?

Oh wait, since you won't have an education, you'll be working for minimum wage at some fast food joint and won't be paying crap for taxes to begin with. Maybe you'll get turned down for the job since the illegal immigrant you are trying to protect got the job since he or she will work for less.

I was sitting at home this afternoon, perusing the internet and trying to find some inspiration to write something not only for my blog but my new blogging home here at Shoot a Liberal.

I'm now at work and I'm still trying to accomplish this task. Woot.

Actually, I lie. This has changed.

For the past two days the media has been abuzz with the incident of Cynthia McKinney assaulting an officer of the law when she was restrained by said officer. She was not wearing the proper credentials to allow her to pass through a security checkpoint without going through a metal detector.

As most of you know, Ms. McKinney has immediately turned this into a racist issue, as we all expected she was.

According to Breitbart.com, her lawyer has been quoted as saying:

"Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, like thousands of average Americans
across this country, is, too, a victim of the excessive use of force by law
enforcement officials because of how she looks and the color of her skin."

WTF???

This Congresswoman attempted to pass through a security check without the proper credentials to allow her to do so, she was restrained by a Capitol police officer-an officer of the law only trying to do his job-and she assaulted the police officer. She punched the officer, then when she was called out on it she immediately turned it into a racial issue to deflect the fact that SHE VIOLATED THE LAW and focus attention on the innocent police officer who was, as I said before, only trying to do his job.

Nancy Pelosi has already been quoted as saying that "this isn't a big deal." What do you mean, "this isn't a big deal?" An elected representative, supposed to uphold the laws and statutes of the nation of the United States of America has violated mentioned statutes by assaulting a man charged with her very security!

You liberals want to spew hatred about how President Bush is "spying" on the American people and is committing "war crimes" when you have no evidence to back it up. You've come out and said that an elected representative is not above the law, so why aren't you denouncing Ms. McKinney and calling for her immediate arrest? You are hypocrites of the worst kind.

Fortunately Drudge is reporting that an arrest warrant is expected soon; unfortunately she wasn't immediately detained for the crime she committed.

And the moron will not apologize for her assault. Why? Because she sees nothing wrong with assaulting law officers, especially when they're white!

This woman should be censured and removed from office for such a crime. Let's hope the Republicans have more balls when it comes to this when compared to their immigration "reform" and spending habits.

No, this doesn't represent a change in ideology. It is only a cooperation between different methods to achieve the same goal. Shoot A Liberal is still all about shooting liberals. I am merely here to represent the point of view of those who prefer to impale liberals.

Why impale a liberal, you may ask. Well, when you shoot a liberal, you hear them snivel and beg for mercy until you pull the trigger. BANG, then it's over. You have a nasty bloody mess to clean up. Sure, there's not much work involved, and this method is very effective at stopping the spread of liberalism.

However, when you impale a liberal, they not only snivel and beg for mercy until they are impaled, but continue to beg and cry while suspended in the air from the eight foot pike inserted through their body. This sniveling could continue for days depending on the chosen point of entry. And impalings are scalable. Once you have impaled a dozen or so liberals, you have your very own Forest Of Woe ©. It serves as a wonderful public spectacle, and an effective deterrent to the future spread of liberalism.

For you urban imaplers of liberals, I am working on the Chiatops Pet Of Woe ©. It can be placed in an apartment where space is limited. You could set it outside on a balcony, or on a window sill. I haven't worked out all the kinks yet, but when I do, it'll be on sale at Amazon.com.

The book chronicles the fatal altruistic journey of Christopher McCandless, who rejected his upper middle class existence for a nomadic test of character -- some said death wish -- that ended in the wilds of Alaska.

Perhaps Penn will get so into the character that he too will throw away his possessions and take a far away journey, never to be heard from again.

A Lesson in Efficiency

Ordered something recently. They are shipping it by FedEx right now. Here is an example of stupidity at it's finest:

Take note of the pickup location. Lenexa, KS. From there it is sent to Shawnee, KS. Then the package makes it's way... back to Lenexa?! And then back to Shawnee again because the barcode was screwed up. I'm guessing the item is headed back to Lenexa again just to balance things out. If it actually makes it to me on time it might rip a hole in the space-time continuum.

Too bad they don't offer frequent flyer miles for packages. I'd have a trip to Hawaii by now. Personally, I think it's a conspiracy by Halliburton to ensure that I don't order crap off the internet anymore.

Out of Iraq

I'm starting to think that maybe the anti-war protesters have it right. I mean look at what our soldiers are doing over there:

The Abbasiya Girls School, currently educating more than 800 girls aging from 12 through 18 is the only one of its kind in the Najaf region.

In February, Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, distributed filing cabinets, reams of paper, snacks, soap, deodorant, brushes and other items to students at the school in an effort to show support for these future leaders of Iraq.

See! They are spending all of their time trying to help the people of Iraq instead of killing them! What's the meaning of this? Aren't we supposed to be over there killing civilians? Here we are, giving these kids a better chance at an education instead of blowing them up!

The girls at school told Soldiers that they were thankful for the donated materials.

What?! You mean they didn't run in fear from our soldiers? Don't they know that our troops are programmed to kill blindly and without reason?

Run girls! They have guns! Don't you see?! Aren't you afraid?

I think it's time we rethink the strategy in Iraq. If our men and women in uniform are not killing civilians, then they need to be pulled out immediately. I'd hate to think that mother Sheehan and all of her liberal friends are lying to the American public...

Who's Drugs are These?

If it wasn't for the fact that this settlement cost taxpayers, I'd find this whole thing comedic.

Mark Lilly was charged with possession of cocaine in July 2004 after he was arrested for offering to sell drugs to an undercover officer. Police who searched Lilly's vehicle did find fake drugs in the car. But canine officer David Newton then placed real drugs in Lilly's Mercedes as a training exercise for his dog. Newton forgot to retrieve the cocaine packet, and Lilly was charged with drug possession when other officers searched his vehicle and found the real drugs.

What does Lilly get for his troubles? $24,999. A relatively small sum of money, but when it is for a "violation" of his civil rights, it seems ridiculous.

Lilly was selling drugs to an undercover cop. Sure the drugs were fakes, but since Lilly stated that they were drugs, it should count the same as actual posession. We are too lax on these slimeballs.

Of course, when a criminal's "civil rights" are violated, the ACLU is there to step in and back the scumbag.

Of particular concern to the ACLU was the fact that when police officers David Parker and Kevin Collmar testified in court at Lilly's preliminary hearing, they didn't mention that the possession charge should have been dropped.

Were the officers notified of the charges at the hearing? Maybe they were hoping, like I was, that no one would notice. Or maybe it was because they had already sent a notice to the prosecutor that the charge was in error.

What is significant in the Lilly case, said Peck and Potter, is that it led to police ending a long-standing practice of placing narcotics inside the vehicles of law-abiding motorists as a training exercise for drug-sniffing dogs. Sheriff Bill Young suspended the practice in April 2005.

Probably a good idea. I'd hate to think that something like this could happen again. I think the most important thing to remember is that it was a mistake. The cops are being punished and a slimeball got to go free with an extra $25 g's in his pocket. Thanks, ACLU. Once again you demonstrate why you should lose your 501(c)(3) status.

Fun With the AP: Joining the March

3 years in Iraq and the moonbats can't change their tune. Of course, the AP is there to cover it in excruciating detail.

About 200 war veterans, hurricane survivors and demonstrators gathered Sunday at the Chalmette National Cemetery to protest how the military conflict overseas had hurt the country's ability to help the Gulf Coast recover from last year's hurricanes.

How many were veterans? It must have been the majority since they listed them first. Anything less and they would be misleading the public.

Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, a strident Bush critic, said world opinion is turning against the war as he offered some of his harshest criticisms of the U.S. president in months.

"The world is opposed to your war, Mr. Danger," Chavez said Sunday on his weekly television and radio program. He also called Bush a "coward," a "donkey" and a "drunkard."

Now there is someone who we should listen to. Just because he has ties with Al Qaeda doesn't mean that Hugo doesn't care about the American people.

Joining the marchers in Chalmette was former Florida National Guard Staff Sgt. Camilo Mejia, a conscientious objector from Miami Beach, Fla., who was court-martialed and jailed for desertion.

"I joined the military because it seemed to offer stability and camaraderie," he said. "No soldier signs up for a war for oil.

Oh wow, this is much better. Mejia's cowardice should be as an example for all the world on how the left would like us to act. We don't face down adversity, we run from it.

Pardon the constant sarcasm, but I just can't believe that these idiots take themselves seriously. Hey Mejia, I'm still waiting for that oil that we supposedly went to war for. I'm tired of paying $2.50 a gallon.

If anyone out there tries to tell me that the AP is unbiased, I'll make sure that the men in white suits get them into a nice padded room.

Just Chop It

If you are an insomniac and you live in Las Vegas, you know who Chop is. This self-proclaimed "King of Cars" has a show he films at Towbin Dodge, in the Valley Automall in Henderson but he's about to go national.

On April 4th, at 10PM on A&E they will be premiering a new show called "King of Cars" (go figure). Apparently it is going to be a behind-the-scenes look at the operations of Towbin as well as the production of The Chopper Show.

My guess is it'll flop within a year. Then we'll hear the execs at A&E yell "Chop it!".

Why Iraq?

Let's think about this. Those on the left would like us to think that the war in Iraq has nothing to do with terrorists. This statement makes it pretty clear that the enemy we are fighting in Iraq are just that. Al Qaida in Iraq, under Abu Musab al Zarqawi, has aligned itself with Osama bin Laden.

Why would terrorists care what happened in Iraq, i.e. unseating Saddam Hussein, if they didn't have an interest in that country? If they just want the country now that he's gone, why not take it while Saddam was still in power?

A. Because they had his support.

Of course the moonbats are going to continue to deny any link. To do otherwise would lend credibility to our president and that would be counter-productive to their agenda. So let's just keep on believing that the suicide bombers are only there to protest an illegal invasion of their country by blowing up their own people.

Just keep living in fantasy land. Don't let the fact that it makes no sense get in your way.

The Political Drinking Game

I’ve heard a good group of my friends complain that news and politics are boring. Now, keep in mind most of them are brainless college liberals and don’t know any better, but the fact is they don’t like to pay attention and stay informed with what’s happening in their country and world. In fact, if you look at test scores, you’ll see that high school and college students just aren’t interested in history and current events any more.
However, there is a trend in our high school and college students that we can manipulate to get more young people interested in the events that affect their daily lives.
Yes, that’s right. Alcohol. So, with that said, I present to you:

THE POLITICAL DRINKING GAME
WHAT YOU NEED:
1-bottle of an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice.
1-television set with cable or antenna input 1-comfortable couch and coffee table 1-remote control Group of friends with one shot glass for each friend
Sit down with a group of friends and turn on the news channel of your choice, making sure you have a bottle or can of your favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice on hand. The game can take an hour or ten hours, it’s all up to you. Play as little or as long as you want!
Here’s the rules. Pour one shot of selected beverage in each shot glass as you use the remote to turn on the television to the news channel of your choice.
The goal of the game is to watch for certain events and drink your shot before your comrades, scoring points, winning the game, and depending on the beverage forgetting just what happened when you wake up in a Japanese family’s pool the next morning. When one of the events mentioned below happens, you must drink your shot first. The one to finish the prescribed shots first will get the according number of points. The one with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Then again, with a game like this, we’re all winners in the end.

Why Can't I Quit You?

Really, I'm leaving to take care of my business soon. Again, many thanks to Steve the Pirate for covering for me.

It's just that I saw something really funny in the Review-Journal on Saturday. Sierra Pacific Resources will be having its annual shareholder meeting this May. They chose to have it at Nevada Power's (a subsidiary) newest plant, Charles Lenzie, located near Moapa Valley. Normally I would think this was a great idea. Show off your shining star and get the board's confidence up when the market is at its roughest point.

In case you are wondering, that big hole is not supposed to be there. The thing in the photo is a HRSG (heat recovery steam generator). I know, I wrote the Wikipedia article. It makes steam using the heat from the exhaust of a combustion turbine. The steam can then be used to run a steam turbine and/or used in other processes (ie. running chillers or canning tomatoes).

Chuck popped a hole in Unit 3 last month. Now the question is, how will they hide it before the board gets there? I don't think duct tape is going to do the trick...

Okay, Just One More Rant

Whatever happened to personal accountability? I don't get why so many people think it is such an awful thing to make a mistake. Nobody wants to screw up but it is going to happen. That is how we learn what not to do. I just wish people would have the integrity to admit that they made a mistake when they make it.

Take Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham, for instance. He stood up and admitted his wrongdoing. He let greed take hold of him and accepted bribes, but at least he was man enough to admit his mistake.

"No man has ever been more sorry," he said. "I made a very wrong turn. I rationalized decisions I knew were wrong. I did that, sir."

This is an example of how every person should act. Cunningham stood in front of the judge and stated that he would accept his punishment without complaint. That took guts that I think a lot of those in this world would never have.

We have become a society hell-bent on blaming anyone else but ourselves. We explain away our mistakes by stating that they were the fault of someone else or something in our environment. We have become a nation of excuses. The only lesson learned is that we can get away with it if we find a good enough scapegoat.

Why else do you think defense attorneys make so much money? They know that all it takes is one little error in a police report to let a criminal go free.

Meditation on a New Job

For those of you who don't read or aren't familiar with my blog, I work in the media biz. More accurately, I'm a reporter for the top News/Talk radio station in southwestern Ohio. Yeah, I know. So modest, aren't I?

Well, there are several things I love about my job. First off: donuts. Yes, I said donuts. You see, the radio station is right across the street from a donut shop, and I absolutely love the smell of donuts at 5AM. Even if I don't have the money to go and purchase said donuts (I said I worked in radio, I never said I was rich) it's still a smell that will wake you up better than coffee.

However, mostly I love the fact that I get to sit around and listen to talk shows all day and get paid to do so! For example, I was listening to Sean Hannity yesterday when he was interviewing that kid from Colorado that taped his geography teacher in a vitriolic anti-Bush rant.

WTF, mate?!

Under what means should a geography...a GEOGRAPHY...teacher make statements on foreign policy? Isn't geography that wonderful class where you learn just where the mountains are and what way the rivers flow? I might be able to understand if this joker was teaching a current events class AND presented an opposite opinion, but rehearsing for the Broadway production of "Fahrenheit 9/11" in the middle of a geography lesson isn't the wisest idea, after all.

The sad fact is this is becoming more and more common in public schools today. Heck, my tenth grade world history teacher was a self-proclaimed Marxist. I'm serious, here. I grew up in the reddest part of a red state (Missouri) and here was a Socialist teaching a class in the Bible Belt. We spent almost three weeks on the Bolshevik revolution and the benefits it had on society! Scary, isn't it?

This is why liberals are afraid of private schools. It's not because some private schools are religious in nature, it's because they'll lose their personal boot camps across the country if better, more efficient schools start attracting students away from the cesspool that is the public education system. Without public schools, the next generation of liberals won't ever come to age.

Back to this joker in Colorado. I believe he should be fired; a classroom is no place for an educator's personal political beliefs. And if he felt it was, he should've allowed another educator to present the points of view of the other side of the aisle.

Education is not intended to be indoctrination. The world will be a better place when teachers and educators learn this.

Steve of Steve the Pirate fame will be covering for me for a while. I've got some legal matters to handle.

One quick rant before I go. Kids these days have pretty much open access to drugs now. Thanks to those idiots on the left, a simple word substitution changes drug paraphernalia into something legal. Take for instance bongs. Change the name to 'water pipe' and suddenly it's a device for smoking something totally legal.

The same thing goes with a simple propellant. Most people know that if you inhale the gas from a can of whipped cream, that you get a little buzz. This is because the propellant they use is nitrous oxide, a.k.a. laughing gas. Nitrous oxide is used because it doesn't add flavor to the cream.

What many people are unaware of, is that you can buy canisters of this propellant over the counter. You see, kitchens that use a lot of whipped cream find it cheaper to buy whipping cream in cartons and then use cans fitted with this propellant to make lots of whipped cream for pies and cakes and such.

Here's where the problem comes in: Smoke shops in the Las Vegas valley can sell these same canisters (if you say it is for baking) over the counter. That is not a big issue with me. The problem is that they are selling devices to open the canisters so that the gas can be captured in balloons and subsequently inhaled. This should count as drug paraphernalia if ever there was.

Why is this legal? Why is it that a 16-year-old kid can get their hands on one of these? Why isn't Diversity Tattoo and Smoke Shop being investigated daily for contributing to the delinquency of a minor? Answer: Liberals.

Presley Makes St. Louis Pray For Rain

OXFORD, Miss. - Junior outfielder Alex Presley has been named the National Player of the Week by RosenblattReport.com after going 7-for-10 with nine RBI against Saint Louis over the weekend to help push the Rebels to a 2-0 start to the 2006 season.

Presley, who was a Freshman All-America two years ago, picked up where he left off in 2005 as he pounded the Saint Louis pitching staff in Friday's doubleheader. The third game with the Billikens was canceled due to inclement weather.

Presley was 2-for-5 in the first game with the Billikens, hitting the first home run of the season for the Rebels with a two-run shot that went 347-feet over the right field fence. Presley then went 5-for-5 in the second game including a pair of triples and six RBI. Presley nailed a three RBI, bases loaded triple in the third inning to rally and give the Rebels the first lead of the game as Ole Miss had been down 2-0.

The Rebels will take to the field again on Tuesday, when Ole Miss will host Samford in the first game of a two-game series beginning at 3 p.m.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has a new advertising campaign: "Be Anyone". The commercials involve people walking the strip using false identities. The campaign is very creative, but the part I love the most is that they created a website to allow people to create their own identities.

The site has the user select attributes of their character (smoothness, style, bravery, attitude, and creativity) which the system then uses to create an identity. They even go so far as to make up business cards and even a 1-800 number that people can call to verify authenticity.

Try it out for yourself. Personally, I have to get back to project Green Sea.

If I Had a Bird, This Would Line the Cage

Ever since the Review-Journal started carrying the Las Vegas Sun in its circulation, I feel like I'm wasting money if I buy the paper. Just take a look at this Sunday's Sun. The whole front page is dedicated to Bill Walters trying to buy out a deed restriction on the Royal Links golf club so that Las Vegas can build low-income housing on the land. The Sun reports that the deal is bad for Walters who looks to make $12.2 million from the offer but good for Las Vegas taxpayers who stand to gain $38 million. Where did they come up with the numbers?

"the Sun commissioned an independent analysis by a financial advisory firm that, to further assure objectivity, does not do business with the Sun or any related companies."

Let's examine the 'objectivity' that the Sun supposedly ensured. The owner of the Las Vegas Sun is the Greenspun family. The editor is Brian Greenspun. Brian Greenspun also owns American Nevada Corporation who has had land dealings with Walters in the past. Brian Greenspun considers Bill Walters to be a 'friend'.

How can they consider a study, funded by a friend of Walters, to be objective? Especially when the study didn't even take into account that the land was smacked up against a waste water treatment facility that will require modifications costing millions just to reduce the odors emanating from it?

I'll stick with the results of the analysis that Nevada Attorney General George Chanos will get from the law firm that he hired to investigate the deal. Senn Meulmans has nothing to gain and no ties to Walters that could influence their findings. It's a small price to pay for the piece of mind that this deal is in the best interest of the taxpayers.

What's an HTML?

Anyone who has been to this site before knows that I just updated the header so that the colors in the title graphic match the background. Why did it take me so long? Well I'm still getting the hang of this HTML thing. I know that I could have asked Basil how to fix it, but pride forced me to figure it out on my own.

5 months later and I finally figure out that the letters and numbers following 'background:' and 'color:' are actually hexadecimal that can easily be converted into RGB format.

Anyone not familiar with what hexadecimal is, it is simply a number system that is base 16 (0-9,a-f). That means that a color code such as #ff00ee equates to 255,0,238 (f is 15 so F0 = 15 * 16 and FF = 15 * 16 + 15 (confused yet?)). Using this method, I was able to convert the HTML color code for the header into RGB and use it to make a new graphic.

I am officially a nerd now. Time to shop for pocket protectors.

I may have to change the name of this blog. I never want the 'Gun Toting Liberal' to think that it applies to him.

I found GTL via the Blogging Man 2007 'Wall of Blogs' and began reading his site with the full expectation that it would fit the mold of Huffpo or the DU. I was pleasantly surprised to find that he is an independent thinker that provides thought-provoking topics and never resorts to insults to get his point across. Regretfully(?), this means that he is not the easy target of ridicule I was hoping to find.

He's even got me to see his point of view on a few topics. This is a feat not easily accomplished. Go check out his site. You won't regret it.

Talk About Bird Shot

I recently got word of this Cheney guy accidentally shooting Harry Whittington, who was recently released from the hospital. Some people, like New York Times columnist Bob Herbert, have called for Cheney to step down as Vice President because of the incident. News flash: It was an accident, people.

Accidents happen while bird hunting. Take it from me. I have been thrown off cliffs, blown up by dynamite, shot by guns. I've even been hit by trains, buses, and trucks. All this because of bird hunting.

It's a dangerous endeavor, but well worth it. One of these days I'm going to get that roadrunner and slow roast him. Sure he's scrawny and probably tough, but I've put too much time and effort toward catching him just to quit.

One suggestion for Mr. Cheney, work alone in the future. Not only do you not have to worry about hurting anyone else, but it also means more bird for you. Big man like you needs all he can get.

No Taste in Berlin

It did not take long for the entertainment press to liken British film director Michael Winterbottom's "The Road to Guantanamo" to Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11," a polemic against the Bush administration.

So what you are trying to say is that it is a film filled with lies and that is isn't worth seeing. But it is on it's way to getting an award!

Winterbottom's offering, a harsh if one-sided look at the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba, is the critics' favorite to take the Berlin Film Festival's top prize, the Golden Bear.

I guess the 'golden toiletbowl' award already went to Moore, huh?

What do we expect from filmmakers these days? Of course the liberal left has taken control of the world film market. I can't hardly stand going to a theater now. It's Not Right

I like the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The officers I have met are great people and I am fortunate to have made their acquaintance. I even count some of them among my friends.

What I don't like is seeing motorcycle cops drive down the median, without lights or siren, just because traffic is down to 35 MPH on the freeway. If a cop is not responding to a call, he or she should be required to obey the same traffic laws as any other driver on the road. Why should they get to be the execption just because they wear a uniform and drive a bike that says 'POLICE' on it?

If I read the NRS section 484 right, an emergency vehicle may "disregard regulations governing direction of movement or turning in specified directions" only when "responding to an emergency call or when in pursuit of an actual or suspected violator of the law or when responding to but not upon returning from a fire alarm". I don't see anything about 'when traffic is moving slower than you like, feel free to pass everyone in the median'. No lights, no siren, no emergency, means no driving in the median.

Unless of course, you want to make it legal for everyone else to do the same. If that's the case, I'm buying a Harley.

It looks as though the US Air Force will be retiring the F-117 stealth fighter 3 years earlier than originally planned. 52 planes total are destined for either museums or the 'Boneyard' aka Davis-Monthan Air Force Base near Tucson, Ariz.

The Nighthawks are priced at $45 million apiece, not counting costs for research and development, according to an Air Force fact sheet.

Okay, so instead of sending these beauties to the dump, let me have just one. That's not much to ask, is it? I'd be really good to it. Please?!

I absolutely hate to see these engineering marvels rust away. I never could afford the price tag, but I'm sure someone out there could. Get 'em on eBay and sell to the highest bidder (with proper US citizenship). Take the money and give it to the hurricane victims or use it to fund educational programs for kids.

I am issuing a fatwa against the people of Warner Brothers animation for creating cartoons in which I, Wile E. Coyote (genius), am portrayed as a simpleton. These cartoons are degrading to my image and only serve to insult coyotes everywhere.

This will likely cause coyotes to become violent. We may even resort to ordering dynamite from ACME and using it to blow up the Warner Brothers studios. Don't think I can't, I have plans already made up to divert the cars of the executive staff to the top of a cliff causing them to tumble to their deaths.

You see, it's not fair if I point out the news articles that tie Harry Reid in with the Abramoff scandal. Apparently this is supposed to be a one sided fight against the dirty Republicans. Only they can be guilty. Ooops, here's more:

The activities -- detailed in billing records and correspondence obtained by The Associated Press -- are far more extensive than previously disclosed. They occurred over three years as Reid collected nearly $68,000 in donations from Abramoff's firm, lobbying partners and clients.

I'm sorry if the truth is too much for you. I just want a fair investigation and that includes Senator Reid. I want ALL those who took money from Abramoff to come to the light as this is only scratching the surface of the corruption in Washington.

Partisan politics is not going to solve this problem. It's okay if you don't want to face the truth, just know that this is not going to go away. Feel free to hide out at the DU, if you want. You won't find news like this there.

Something Odd

Okay, so it was a week ago that Mother Sheehan got the cuffs slapped on her as she was hauled out of the House of Representatives. Old news. What hit me recently was this; why was she in the gallery in the first place?

She got the pass from Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-California). Okay.

She got through Capitol security. Understandable since she wasn't armed.

What confuses me is why the security guard who checks for passes didn't bother to stop her there. Unless they changed the admittance policy since I was there last, you had to hand over your guest pass to a guard before being admitted to the gallery. Someone would then escort you in and seat you. Why did they allow Sheehan, with her protest shirt, into the gallery? Let alone during the State of the Union Address?

Something just doesn't add up here. What is the rest of the story? How did she get all the way to a seat before someone said something to her?

Any ideas?

MANAMA, Bahrain – At approximately 3 p.m. local time today, Jan. 21, the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet captured a group of suspected pirates in the Indian Ocean, approximately 54 miles off the central eastern coast of Somalia.

After receiving a report of an attempted act of piracy from the International Maritime Bureau in Kuala Lumpur on the morning of Jan. 20, the guided missile destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81) and other U.S. naval forces in the area located the vessel of the suspected pirates and reported its position. Churchill then shadowed the suspect pirate vessel through the night and into the morning hours of Jan. 21.

Summary of what happened after that:

Churchill radios to the ship and gets no response.

Churchill moves to block the ship but they keep going on course.

Churchill fires off a warning shot.

Pirates stop their ship.

Churchill calls to the pirates telling them to send their crew over on a boat that they are towing.

Pirates hesitate.

Churchill fires off more warning shots.

Pirates pee pants and start heading over to the Churchill.

It would only have been better if after they captured the pirates, they sunk the vessel and made the pirates watch as it fell beneath the waves. Go Navy!

My kids try to pull this crap. Someone refusing to take responsibility for their own actions does not change the fact that it is their fault.

Syria blamed Denmark for the protests, criticizing the Scandinavian nation for refusing to apologize for the caricatures of Islam's holiest figure.

"(Denmark's) government was able to avoid reaching this point ... simply through an apology" as requested by Arab and Muslim diplomats, state-run daily Al-Thawra said in an editorial Sunday.

"It is unjustifiable under any kind of personal freedoms to allow a person or a group to insult the beliefs of millions of Muslims," the paper said.

No one, other than Syria, is stupid enough to believe Denmark forced these radical Islamists to take up arms and riot. This is the fault of a culture that openly advocates violence. Asking for an apology is one thing, but saying that they are to blame for the actions of a bunch of hooligans is ridiculous. These are unacceptable actions performed by fanatics.

Making statements like the one in this article makes it sound as though the riots are being condoned by Syria. At least Lebanon has the good sense not to do the same.

Lebanon's Grand Mufti Mohammed Rashid Kabbani denounced the violence and appealed for calm, accusing infiltrators of sowing the dissent to "harm the stability of Lebanon."

Prime Minister Fuad Saniora also urged peaceful protests.

"Those who are committing these acts have nothing to do with Islam or with Lebanon," he said. "This is absolutely not the way we express our opinions."

Whether or not the printing of the cartoons was appropriate is up to the head of the newspaper and the leaders for Islam to decide, not a bunch of rioters.

Unfortunately, the one person I hoped would always get away with making fun of Mohammed has taken his Ask the Prophet down because of this. Laurence Simon, blogger and purveyor of crap, has been receiving threats because of his cartooning. I never mentioned this before, but it is because of Lair that I started blogging in the first place. His informative and often funny posts inspired me to begin putting my thoughts down. I hope that this incident doesn't break his spirit, because the blogosphere would lose one of the greats.

To the rioters: Learn to laugh at yourself because, only then can you realize how ridiculous all this is.

Harry Reid, when are you going to 'fess up? $50,000 from Indian tribes who had gaming interests, all of them represented by Jack Abramoff, and you still have the audacity to shrug it off as 'legal contributions'. Let's break it down...

$19,500 from the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of California.

$5,000 from the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana.

$7,000 from the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

$19,000 from the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan.

All of it legitimate, right Harry?

Reid has acknowledged receiving $61,000 from tribal clients and lobbying colleagues of Abramoff. He has said the money was legally raised, that he has done nothing improper and does not plan to refund the donations.

But if the donations came to Republicans, it is dirty money and they are all guilty of accepting bribes and unethical behavior.

I'm sick of this one sided view of the Abramoff scandal. There are politicians that need to be investigated on both sides of the aisle. Harry Reid is one of them. This needs to be an impartial investigation, as well.

The American Prospect, a self-described liberal publication, commissioned a study of donations by Indian tribes that Abramoff represented compared to tribes who were not clients.

The study, performed by campaign finance specialists Dwight L. Morris and Associates, suggests "it's likely that Abramoff had little impact on giving to Democrats," the publication said in a Jan. 27 report.

This means nothing to me since the liberals are footing the bill. Get a commission together and look into the matter without party bias. Until the truth comes out in full, and ALL guilty parties are accounted for, I will have no faith in the House and Senate.

Time to clean house.

New Orleans Hit By Bush Tornados.

Apparently President Bush hasn't had enough fun with his global-warming/weather machine. Now he has sent 2 tornados to hurricane ravaged New Orleans. It must have had to do with Nagin's 'Chocolate City' comment.

"I cannot believe this. We were hit twice. It's not bad enough we got 11 feet of water," said Maria Kay Chetta, a city grants manager.

Well Ms. Chetta, that's because the president hates black people. When are you people going to get a clue that nowhere is safe now?

The wind also blew down a radio tower near a major thoroughfare, authorities said.

It appears the Bush administration is attempting to control communications too. What is this country coming to? It looks as though we are headed for a complete dictatorship.

Electricity was knocked out at Louis Armstrong International Airport, grounding passenger flights and leaving travelers to wait in a dimly lit terminal powered by generators. The storm also ripped off part of a concourse roof, slammed one jetway into another, and flipped motorized runway luggage carts.

Obviously Bush doesn't want them to be able to get out of the city. That was his mistake last time; He left a way out. Can't kill black people if they can hop a flight! Bush is getting craftier by the minute.

Don't let the people at the National Weather Service lie to you. These tornados were not naturally caused! The Right Wing Extremists know the truth! This is all a plot to wipe New Orleans off the map!

A Precision Guided Humor Assignment

The Alliance calls and, once again, I make a feeble attempt to answer. They want to know what "reforms" the new Hamas-controlled Palestinian Authority will implement during their first 100 days.

It just so happens that I received an advance copy of the ‘Hamas Guidebook to ~~Ruining~~ Running an Authority’ from Amazon. The book is pretty lengthy so I’ll break it down to the basics. Here is the overall plan:

Step 1: Kill all Joooos
Step 2: Kill all infidels
Step 3: If there is anyone left, they can have a party.

That pretty much takes care of day 1. As far as day 2 thru 100, they don’t have anything since they don’t plan on making it that far. I guess if Iran gets a nuke they will add some more chapters about running from U.S. nuclear warheads.

Remember all you radical Islamists, ‘duck and cover’ doesn’t actually help you survive a nuclear stike. Radiation doesn’t care what position you are in when it kills you.

State of the Union

President Bush did a very good job with the State of the Union address, in my opinion. A few things of particular interest to me were:

“Yet there is a difference between responsible criticism that aims for success, and defeatism that refuses to acknowledge anything but failure. Hindsight alone in not wisdom.”

That statement must have been aimed directly at John Murtha, Harry Reid and Ted Kennedy. It’s all to easy to point out someone’s shortcomings when you don’t have to acknowledge your own.

“The Palestinian people have voted in elections – now the leaders of Hamas must recognize Israel, disarm, reject terrorism, and work for a lasting peace.”

You want Hamas, a terrorist organization, to reject terrorism? This is a tall order. I think it is time for the world to recognize the plight of Israel and work to protect the people and the country from eradication by radical Islamists.

“Every year of my presidency, we have reduced the growth of non-security discretionary spending – and last year you passed bills that cut this spending. This year my budget will cut it again, and reduce or eliminate more than 140 programs that are performing poorly or not fulfilling essential priorities.”

Maybe Glenn Reynolds’ and NZ Bear’s pork-busters program is actually having an effect. Keep up the good work.

“I ask you to join me in creating a commission to examine the full impact of Baby Boom retirements on Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.”

And this commission will find a way to make sure these programs stay status quo. There is no motive for our government to change these programs. As long as the money keeps flowing in, everything is okay in Washington. That is why President Bush’s privatization plan was struck down.

“We will invest more in zero-emission coal-fired plants; revolutionary solar and wind technologies; and clean, safe nuclear energy.”

Of these plants, the only one that is cost effective is nuclear. We have made good progress on nuclear energy, by improving the NRC permit process, such that there are 1500* new plant proposals on the books as of 2005. There is no efficient way of reducing all emissions from a coal plant and, even with tax incentives, solar and wind are expensive to run. The real future lies in fuel cells. More money needs to be invested in their development.

Those are the biggest points in my view. I think that politicians on both sides can take something good from this speech. Hopefully the President’s words will give our country new strength and hope for the future.

I'm going to try and get an interview set up with Nate Waugh, candidate for Regent, in the near future. I think one of the questions I'll ask is how he feels about this:

The presidents of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the University of Nevada, Reno signed a letter this week encouraging a compromise calling for entering university students to have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher by fall 2008, a year later than the current proposal would require.

3.0 GPA? You mean you want our kids to be smart when they get into college? What a concept.

I think the sooner they enact these standards, the better. Why should we admit kids into a college if they aren't willing to put in the effort to get there? If any of my tax dollars are going toward funding these schools of "higher learning", they shouldn't be wasted on someone who is not going to put full effort into achieving a degree.

Minority leaders, worried the proposal would decrease the number of students of color on campus, have asked regents not to implement the standards.

Of course. What was I thinking?

If anyone puts any weight in this statement, they are an idiot. Black people, Hispanic people, and any other 'student of color' has the ability to make a 3.0 GPA. Don't let these self-defeatists tell you otherwise. They want to keep you from achieving your full potential by saying that it's 'okay' to be mediocre.

These standards will be good for the schools and good for the students. This will ensure that everyone who attends UNLV or UNR is someone who wants to be there.

Do we have to continue to accept Harry Reid's apologies? So far he has apologized to Republican senators for misusing his 'war room'. Now it appears that he has managed to gain the ire of a Italian-American group, the Columbus Citizens Foundation of New York City.

How? By opening his mouth.

"Having Senator Santorum talk about reform is like having John Gotti talk about doing something about organized crime," Reid said.

Santorum... isn't that name Italian?

"Senator Reid's callous comment is shocking, unjust and inappropriate since it invokes the specter of organized crime in a criticism of an Italian-American," foundation president Louis Tallarini said.

"On behalf of the Columbus Citizens Foundation and the estimated 26 million Italian-American citizens of this country, we demand an apology from Senator Reid."

Okay, so it might be a little over the top. I doubt that Reid's intention was to relate Santorum to the mafia, but it goes to show that in this war of words that the Liberal left has started, all is fair game. In a way, it's kinda funny.

Cruising though the R.J. today and I find an article about an 18-year-old kid who is running for the Nevada Board of Regents.

Nathaniel "Nate" Waugh is challenging Regent Linda Howard to represent District 1, which spans most of North Las Vegas.

"I've never run a political campaign outside of student council," said Waugh, in announcing his candidacy for the board that oversees the state's colleges and universities.

My curiosity peaked, I Google the kid and find his MySpace account. Regretfully, it is filled with childish ranting as so many MySpace accounts are prone to contain.

Nate, get rid of the MySpace account. If you want people to take you seriously, you need to stop with the kiddie stuff. The official campaign site isn't bad, but when the voting public goes in search of information, you don't want to look anything other than professional.

He said his campaign will focus on increasing the number of international students on Nevada campuses and dealing with growth.

"It's not a joke," he said. "It's not a civics project. We're in it to win. We're prepared to do everything."

I'm hoping to learn more about this guy as elections come closer, but as far as what his favorite pizza topping is, I am not interested.

UPDATE: The MySpace account has been cleaned up considerably. I also received an email from Nate thanking me for my interest. (Who knew that anyone actually read this thing...) As the campaign goes into full swing, I'll be providing updates to you, my loyal readers.

(He points to the purple bruises on his face and neck. GRISSOM leans in to look.)

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: Purple means he was alive for all of it.

(Quick flashback to: In the alley, Reynolds strangles the hobo. End of flashback. Resume to present.)

NICK: Percussive control.

GRISSOM: He choked him unconscious and then brought him to multiple times. What about the DNA?

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: Same as the others. Indeterminate origin.

(DR. ROBBINS turns back to get the sample.)

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: I did find a small trace of something. Looks like the remnants of a puppy shake.

(He hands it over to NICK to look at.)

(Camera zooms in for a close up of the item. Brown substance with clumps of fur in it.)

GRISSOM: Are we done?

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: Something we didn't find with the other two hobos.

(DR. ROBBINS turns around and picks up a single strand of cotton fiber. He hands it to GRISSOM.)

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: Fibers. One in the back of his throat.

(Camera CGI POV close up of a fiber stuck in between two teeth. Flash to white. Resume GRISSOM.)

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: One stuck between his lower molars.

GRISSOM: This looks like wire. Maybe computer cable.

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: Hmmm.

(GRISSOM glances at the body, then back at the fiber.)

GRISSOM: Could be silencing them with ... monitor cords?

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: Well, it would explain why no one hears the victim's screams.

GRISSOM: He brings it with him and takes it away after. So, somewhere, there's evidence of this victim on a Macintosh.

DR. ALBERT ROBBINS: Kind of a forensic smoking gun.

GRISSOM: Mmm. Now we just have to find the guy and hope that he hasn't wiped his hard drive.

Wow, Pittsburgh was... well, an experience to say the least. There was this white stuff falling from the sky when I was headed out and the plane has to go get hit with a water cannon spraying some sort of funky ice-melting liquid. I don't know what that was all about but I'm sure it had something to do with Bush causing global warming. Heck, the antifreeze was probably provided by Halliburton.

I do know that it was because of me that Yahoo now shows Smooth Jazz in the top 10 stations on Launch. (How's that for inflating my ego?)

Al Gore, hugger of trees and inventor of the internet was quoted in today's USA today as saying, "A president who breaks the law is a threat to the very structure of our government."

How's that Mr Ex-VP? Breaking the law like dodging the draft? Maybe by lying under oath? Sound like anyone you know? Maybe you should pay more attention to the scandals that rocked your former administration and focus on what to do about that.

Or as GOP spokesperson Tracey Schmitt (no relation) said, Gore's "incessant need to insert himself in the headline of the day is almost as glaring as his lack of understanding of the threats facing America."

Yeah, like Gore himself.

(A Filthy Lie)

I hate school fundraisers. Kids are coming to the door every other week during the school year to hawk candy bars, wrapping paper, sausage sticks, or worst of all, magazines. Really kids, if I want to subscribe to Time, I'll call them up myself. I don't need you blinking those big, sad puppydog eyes at me while begging for a year's subscription.

Yesterday I had some kid come to my door and he was selling just one magazine. I tried to tell him I wasn't interested but he forced his way in and proceeded to conduct a short spiel on how great this magazine was. It was not the typical magazine, you see. It was about Antarctic romps with avian friends. Pretty gross stuff. Especially the pictures. Finally I was able to force the kid out but not before he grabbed my blender and made an evil cackle.

I wonder who that kid was...

I wonder what happened to my neighbor's dog...

I wonder why I'm typing all of my internal dialogue...

Dear Ken,

Please note that in the email you sent me, you put the name of both Senators from my state. I'm not sure if you noticed but one of them is the Senate Minority Leader. His name is Harry Reid. Maybe you haven't heard, but he is the head liberal in the country. As a matter of fact, I think he is the one researching and writing up all of the attacks used on Judge Alito.

Instead of asking Senator Reid to lay off the attacks, I decided to bash my head into a concrete wall as I decided it would be less painful.

Best of luck with the whole confirmation thing. I'm going to go get some stitches and an ice pack.

We are all awaiting news about Ariel Sharon and the lone surviving miner from the Sago mine, Randal McCloy Jr. In the mean time, there is not much for me to report. So to keep you all busy, here is the MSDS (Material Data Safety Sheet) for water. Learn it well as there will be a quiz on it later.

Always remember to wear your eye goggles and lab coat when working with Dihydrogen Oxide. Aaaaaargh! I got it in my eyes!!!!

Separation of What?

One of the favorite tools of the ACLU and other left-wing groups is the so-called 'establishment clause'. It is the first line in the first amendment and it reads:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

No where does it say anything about 'separation of church and state', but many people like to spout it as if it is law. My question is, "where are those people now?"

However, it's not just the power of prayer that brings out the faithful. "There is," Las Vegas City Councilman Lawrence Weekly notes, "political power in the pulpit."

Whether it's bringing in a high-profile speaker such as Illinois Sen. Barack Obama or sending a message to get out and vote, West Las Vegas churches are not afraid to tread into political ground.

What's so wrong with telling people to go out and vote? Nothing, except the place in which they are doing it. There are better locations to spout political messages (yes, even if it is 'go vote') than a house of worship. The pulpit is to be used for one message only; a religious message.

This can't be a one way street. If you are keeping religion out of the state, keep the state out of religion.

Pot Calling Kettle: The Message is 'Black'

By now many of you know that a number of Republicans in congress received donations from Jack Abramoff, who recently pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to charges that included bribing members of Congress, defrauding American Indian tribal clients and evading taxes.. Representative Jon Porter wants the world to know that the GOP leaders aren't in it alone.

From the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

"Watching Democrats lambaste Republicans for their connections to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff has been a study in hypocrisy." Porter said in a statement.

"Many of these Democrats, including the very vocal Senate minority leader, have filled their campaign coffers with contributions from Abramoff and his clients." Porter said. "The focus should not be on partisan politics, but rather on addressing the greed and corruption that affects both sides of the aisle."

Makes sense to me. Most Washington lobbyists are out to get bipartisan support for their agenda so that votes will pass in congress. Don't tell this to Harry Reid or Shelley Berkley. Apparently the truth is a little too much for them to handle.

"If Jon Porter is concerned about corruption, he should look to his own party and their chosen leaders and stop attacking his colleagues in the Nevada delegation," Berkley said. "Instead of attacking me, his time would be better spent helping drain the swamp of corruption that congressional Republicans are drowning in."

In other words, "This is our scandal and if you aren't playing on our side, shut up." Apparently, if you are a Democrat, the money is magically legitimate. Sorry Shelley, we don't play that game. The world will be watching to see if you and Senator Reid have the integrity necessary to give back the contributions you received.

The corruption of our congress does fall on both sides of the hall. It is past time for us to look at the leadership in Washington under a microscope. Thanks to bloggers, we can get a clearer look without the media bias. Big brother, we are watching you.

Pat Robertson, televangelist and loud-mouth, has decided to label Ariel Sharon's condition as divine punishment.

"God considers this land to be his," Robertson said on his TV program "The 700 Club." "You read the Bible and he says `This is my land,' and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says, `No, this is mine.'"

Pat's vengeful version of God is not the image I have. The bible does say that God gave Israel to the Jews, but this man has done nothing more than try and bring peace to a region plagued with the worst of 'holy' wars. Ariel Sharon is a righteous man and his actions show that.

Robertson may not be listening so much to God as to himself. I do not want to see Israel go to the Palestinians but you won't hear me saying that anyone who tries to make peace in that region by making a compromise is going to face the wrath of God. I'm not willing to put God in that position.

Pat, you don't know the will of God. Only He knows His will. Crediting Him with action or inaction according to what you think his will is only going to open doors for those looking for an excuse for their misfortune.

Trust me, God had nothing to do with those ugly ties you wear. That's your own fault.

Daniel Craig is the new James Bond. That’s all well and good, but it means trying to find new Bond girls and more villains for 007 to fight. The creators have even gotten so desperate that they asked Glenn Reynolds to play the part of the villain in the next Bond film to follow ‘Casino Royale’. Being an avid Bond fan, I managed to get an advanced copy of the script. Here is an excerpt from the soon-to-be-released ‘Instapussy’:

Bond enters the hidden lair of Evil Glenn.

Bond: Good afternoon, Glenn. I’m here to make sure that your plans for internet domination are stopped.

Glenn: Oh, my. Commander Bond, can I offer you a drink? Puppy shake?

Bond: Vodka martini. Shaken, not stirred.

Glenn gives Bond his drink.

Glenn: So how do you propose to stop me Mr. Bond?

Bond: What do you mean?

Glenn: That drink you are enjoying? I have filled it with millions of my nanites. They have control of you now. Which means I have control of you! Muahahaha!

Bond: You’re insane.

Glenn: Really? Let’s have a little test. Odd-job, bring in the hobo!

Hobo comes in escorted by Harvey from Bad Example.

Bond struggles as his hand goes for his Walther PPK. He strains for his watch which has a mini-EMP device. He manages to activate it but the pulse knocks out the lights.
